Former French Premier Pierre Mauroy a member of the European delegation paid tribute to Hariri and said that the international community, particularly the Lebanese, wanted the truth about the death of Hariri. Mauroy added, - We, as Europeans, should exert all efforts to allow international investigations to take place.Mauroy also said, - it is necessary to implement democracy in Lebanon; and we, as Europeans, will support the Lebanese in this process."
