Netherlands Privatizes its Postal System - Netherlands Sells About Half of TNT Stake, Raises EU900 Million
The Netherlands' government raised 900 million euros ($1.1 billion) with the sale of about half its stake in TNT NV, Europe's second-biggest express-package delivery company. The state retains a 10 percent stake in Hoofddorp, Netherlands-based TNT following the sale of the 43.4 million shares and won't sell any further stock for 360 days, the ministry of finance said today in an e-mail.
