CIA flights 'landed in Germany'
Reports in the Der Spiegel newspaper say CIA flights have "landed in Germany". The highly secretive process - known as "extraordinary rendition" - is used by intelligence agencies to move and interrogate terror suspects outside the US, where they have no American legal protection. CIA aircraft allegedly used Germany's US military bases in Frankfurt and Ramstein for more than 80 stopovers between 2002 and 2004 to transfer terrorist suspect to other countries.
