Austria's Grasser says conditions favourable for euro zone upturn
BRUSSELS (AFX) - Austrian finance minister Karl-Heinz Grasser, whose country holds the rotating EU presidency, said conditions are 'very favourable' for the euro zone to continue its economic recovery. On his way into a meeting of euro zone finance ministers, Grasser told reporters that European Commission and IMF officials were 'very positive' about global and European growth prospects 'so I think conditions for a continuing upswing are very favourable'. He added that 'we are very positive and optimistic for this year'.
