Turkey's Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said on Friday night in an interview with Turkey's state television, TRT1, that both Iran and Syrian have pledged to confront the forces of the Kurdish PKK party, a well-known Kurdish terrorist group. Gul who was taking part in a TV political debate program also said that Iran and Syria have been confronting the PKK forces throughout the past couple of years and the three countries' intelligence agencies have been cooperating closely in many fields, including on PKK issue.The Turkish FM said that in a recent phone talk with his Danish counterpart Per Stig Mueller he had asked him to interfere and halt the broadcasting of the programs of the 'terrorist' Copenhagen based Rouge TV, that is affiliated to the PKK.
The Kurdish PKK organization is a classified terrorist organization by the European Union, the United States and Australia.
