Swiss elevator giant Schindler assists architects and building contractors in planning their projects via the Internet

Schindler's innovative e-tools planners environment, which helps architects and building contractors develop new projects now also allows automatic creation of specification documents and accurate elevator or escalator layout drawings. These can even be downloaded in standard CAD format. Users are also able to directly monitor the progress of their elevator or escalator installation projects.

The Schindler e-tools for planning have now also been extended into the maintenance and building facility management area. Schindler says this will provide its users a better ability to plan their capital investment, since it can provide information on recommended repairs, upgrades, and modernizations.
