"Macedonia Elections: Test of Europeanity
Macedonia will go to the polls on 5th July. The pre-election campaign started on 15th June. The general conduct and the outcome of these elections will be decisive for the Euro-Atlantic integration of Macedonia. However, violent incidents of the first days are ominous. Despite the signature of the “Code of Conduct” and several appeals for calm, it seems that these elections will be the worst elections of the Macedonian history. Will Macedonia fail this ultimate test of “Europeanity”?"
