Nibbles: Obesity increasing in European Union
The European Commission, the executive arm of the European Union, has issued a warning about the growing rate of obesity in the countries of the union. About 27 percent of men and 38 percent of women are considered obese, with higher rates in southern Europe. There are 14 million overweight children in the European Union, three million of whom are obese.
