EU proposes launch of European Institute of Technology by 2008
BRUSSELS (AFX) - The European Commission said it has agreed a proposal to establish a European Institute of Technology by 2008. The institute would have a public and private funding of up to 2.4 bln eur for its first five years of operation.
It would be a flagship for excellence in innovation, research and higher education in Europe, the commission said.
