ECOFIN Germany's Mirow says ECB sees inflation above 2 pct for next 18 months
BRUSSELS (AFX) - German deputy finance minister Thomas Mirow said European Central Bank president Jean-Claude told the euro group last night that euro zone inflation will remain above 2 pct for the next 18 months. He said Trichet presented forecasts to euro zone finance ministers that were 'nearly identical' to those published by the European Commission yesterday.
'The (ECB) projections show that inflation will be over 2 pct for the next 18 months,' Mirow said.
