The enlargement, the rejection, in some cases, of the European Union, and doubts on identity itself keep the 25 paralysed, and the situation won't be solved at the summit starting Thursday.
The European Union is paralysed and won't solve the situation at the summit staring Thursday. Sometimes it's better to stand still rather than to move. San Ignacio de Loyola already said so: "In crisis times, don't you move house."
The European Union, its countries and citizens are very tired, and they need a long rest before they start to move again. The enlargement to 27 countries (in fifteen days we will be 27 with Romania and Bulgaria), the failed attempt to approve a European Constitution and the doubts on the European identity itself have caused this tiredness."
