"US should try the EU approach

Last week the neocons of the Bush administration received the biggest blow so far for their credibility and influence in the US. Former chief of staff for vice-president Dick Cheney, Lewis 'Scooter' Libby, was found guilty of perjury in relation to events leading up to the invasion of Iraq. Indeed, it is too early to suggest that the conviction of Libby would mark the end of the neoconservative era in US politics; yet, parts of the US media have considered it as a personal setback for the vice-president who may never recover from it."
