Chief negotiator Bağış on Turkey's EU process

Turkish state minister & chief negotiator for EU talks said on Thursday that they were endeavoring for Turkey to catch EU standards in its legal infrastructure, regulations, laws and constitution till the end of 2013.

"Turkey continues to implement its own national program," Turkey's Chief Negotiator for EU talks Egemen Bağış said in an exclusive interview with the Anatolia news agency. Bağış said Turkey was richer today when compared with the past, "per capita income increased 8 times when compared with the figures of 8 years ago. Turkey's laws, its loyalty to democracy and sensitivity on human rights are today above the leading countries of Europe. Turkey is taking very important steps on those issues."
