ECB's Trichet to receive 2011 Charlemagne Prize - Forbes.com

The committee for a renowned German prize honoring contributions strengthening European unity says its 2011 award will go the head of the European Central Bank.

The Charlemagne Prize said Saturday that Jean-Claude Trichet will be awarded next year's award for his achievement of successfully steering Europe's monetary union through difficult times, defending the euro currency's stability and the continent's competitiveness.
