Czech Republic: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visit to require major security precautions

The Czech police are carefully getting ready for the forthcoming historic visit by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the Czech Republic during which security measures for the riskiest situation will be in force, head of the police security body Frantisek Snopek told CTK today.

Netanyahu will arrive for a two-day visit to Prague on Thursday. This will be the first visit of an Israeli prime minister to the Czech Republic since the establishment of Israel in 1948.

"We are preparing ourselves for it like for any other foreign visit by a protected person, while this one is more delicate as this is the prime minister of Israel," Snopek said. "We have to apply the riskiest security rules," Snopek added.
