Elections: Greece's right wing: a new dawn?

Greek voters are going to the polls on Sunday for what many are dubbing the most important election the country has seen in decades. Greece is currently reeling economically. Private sector wages shrunk by a quarter last year and unemployment stood at 21.8% in January. A chart, provided by The Economist, shows that unemployment in Greece is currently the second worst in Europe.

Harsh austerity measures, high youth unemployment and a lack of economic progress has many Greeks looking for political change as they prepare for the May 6th national elections. With polls showing a rise in nationalist and anti-immigration sentiment, will extreme right wing politics play a larger role in Greece?
